1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and Right Money ("Right Money," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the Right Money application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Right Money is operated by Columbia Advisory Group, LLC, dba Right Money.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a prominent notice within the Service at least thirty (30) days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
Right Money is a personal finance management application that helps users organize their spending using a three-bucket system (Bills, Lifestyle, and Freedom). The Service provides tools for viewing and categorizing financial transactions, tracking spending patterns, and managing personal financial goals.

Important: The Service is not a bank, financial institution, financial advisor, investment advisor, or tax advisor. Right Money does not hold, manage, invest, or transfer your funds. Right Money does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
The information provided through the Service is for informational and organizational purposes only and should not be construed as professional financial advice.
The Service may include features that connect to your financial institution accounts through third-party service providers, as described in Section 6.
3. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, a legal resident of the United States, capable of forming a binding contract, and not a person barred from receiving services under the laws of the United States or other applicable jurisdiction.
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements. If you are using the Service on behalf of a household or family, you represent that you have the authority to bind such household members to these Terms.
4. Account Registration and Security
To access the Service, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and creating a password. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration, maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials, promptly update your account information if it changes, and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorized by you. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your login credentials. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe your account security has been compromised.
Authentication is provided through Supabase, a third-party authentication service. By creating an account, you also agree to Supabase's applicable terms of service.
5. Subscription, Billing, and Payment
5.1 Free Trial
Right Money offers a seven (7) day free trial for new users. To start the free trial, you must provide a valid payment method (credit or debit card). You will not be charged during the free trial period. If you do not cancel before the free trial expires, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and your payment method will be charged at the applicable rate.
5.2 Subscription Plans
The Service is available through the following subscription plans:
Monthly Plan
$9.99 per month
Billed monthly
Annual Plan
$79.99 per year
Billed annually
Subscription fees are subject to change. We will provide at least thirty (30) days' notice of any price changes. Price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle following the notice.
5.3 Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"), a third-party payment processor. By providing your payment information, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method for the applicable subscription fees. You also agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy. Right Money does not store your full credit card number, debit card number, or bank account information on its servers. This information is securely managed by Stripe in accordance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).
5.4 Automatic Renewal
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annually, depending on your plan) unless you cancel before the renewal date. The renewal charge will be applied to your payment method on file at the then-current subscription rate.
5.5 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings within the Service. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the Service through the end of your current paid billing period. No refunds or credits will be issued for partial billing periods. After cancellation takes effect, your access to premium features will be suspended, but your account data will be retained for thirty (30) days, during which you may reactivate your subscription. After thirty (30) days, your data may be permanently deleted.
5.6 Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will attempt to charge your payment method up to three (3) additional times over a fourteen (14) day period. During this time, your access to the Service may be restricted. If all payment attempts fail, your subscription will be canceled.
6. Third-Party Financial Data Services
6.1 Plaid Integration
The Service uses Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to connect your financial institution accounts and retrieve transaction data. By using the financial account linking feature, you grant Right Money and Plaid the right, power, and authority to act on your behalf to access and transmit your personal and financial information from your relevant financial institution. You acknowledge and agree that your use of Plaid is subject to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy, available at https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy.
Right Money accesses the following types of financial data through Plaid: account information (account name, type, and balance), transaction data (date, amount, merchant name, and category), and institution information (name and identifiers of your financial institution). This data is used solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you, including categorizing transactions into the Bills, Lifestyle, and Freedom buckets, displaying spending trends and summaries, and helping you manage your personal finances.
6.2 Data Accuracy
While we strive to display accurate financial data, Right Money relies on the information provided by your financial institutions through Plaid. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any financial data displayed in the Service. You should verify all financial information by reviewing your official bank and financial institution statements. Discrepancies between the Service and your official statements should be resolved directly with your financial institution.
6.3 Manual Data Import
The Service also allows you to manually import financial data by uploading bank or credit card statements in CSV or PDF format. When you upload a statement, the data may be processed using automated tools, including artificial intelligence, to extract and categorize transactions. You are responsible for reviewing the accuracy of any data imported through manual upload.
7. User Data and Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://app.rightmoney.com/privacy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
You retain ownership of all personal data you provide to the Service, including financial data retrieved through Plaid or uploaded manually. We do not sell your personal financial data to third parties. We use your data solely to provide, improve, and maintain the Service.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms. Specifically, you agree not to:
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, or any related systems or networks

  • Use the Service to engage in any fraudulent or deceptive activity
  • Provide false or misleading information in connection with your account, including connecting financial accounts that do not belong to you
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or any portion thereof without our prior written consent
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, without prior notice or liability, for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, functionality, and design (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software) are and will remain the exclusive property of Right Money and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws of the United States.
The Right Money name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Right Money. You may not use such marks without our prior written permission.
These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service, and nothing in these Terms constitutes a license to use the Right Money name, logo, or trademarks.
10. Disclaimer — Not Financial Advice

RIGHT MONEY IS NOT A REGISTERED INVESTMENT ADVISOR, BROKER-DEALER, FINANCIAL PLANNER, FINANCIAL ADVISOR, OR TAX ADVISOR. THE SERVICE IS DESIGNED TO HELP YOU ORGANIZE AND VISUALIZE YOUR PERSONAL SPENDING. NOTHING IN THE SERVICE CONSTITUTES FINANCIAL, INVESTMENT, TAX, LEGAL, OR OTHER PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.
The categorization of transactions into the Bills, Lifestyle, and Freedom buckets is provided for organizational purposes and reflects the Right Money system methodology. These categorizations are not recommendations to change your spending behavior and do not account for your complete financial situation, goals, or risk tolerance.
You should consult qualified financial, legal, and tax professionals before making any financial decisions. Right Money expressly disclaims any responsibility for any decisions or actions you take based on information provided through the Service.
11. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal and financial information. These measures include encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS protocols, encryption of data at rest in our database systems, secure authentication through Supabase with email verification, and regular monitoring and logging of access to our systems.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL RIGHT MONEY, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PARTNERS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
  • Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service, including Plaid and your financial institutions
  • Any content or data obtained from the Service, including financial data that may be inaccurate or incomplete
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
  • Any financial decisions made based on information provided through the Service
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00).
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.
We do not warrant that the Service will function uninterrupted, be secure, or be available at any particular time or location; that any errors or defects will be corrected; that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components; or that the results of using the Service will meet your requirements.
We do not warrant or make any representations regarding the accuracy or reliability of any financial data displayed through the Service, whether sourced through Plaid, manual upload, or any other means.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Right Money and its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms, your use of the Service, your connection of any financial accounts to the Service, any financial decisions you make based on information provided through the Service, your violation of any rights of a third party, or any content or data you provide to the Service.
15. Assignment and Business Transfers
You may not assign or transfer these Terms, or any rights or obligations hereunder, without our prior written consent. Any attempted assignment in violation of this section shall be null and void.
We may freely assign or transfer these Terms and all rights and obligations hereunder, including your account information, subscription data, payment information (as processed by Stripe), financial data, and usage data, without restriction and without notice or your consent, in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, sale of all or substantially all of our assets, change of control, or any similar transaction. In the event of such a transfer, the acquiring entity or successor shall assume all of our rights and obligations under these Terms and shall be bound by the terms of our Privacy Policy with respect to your personal information.
In the event of a business transfer, the successor entity will honor existing subscription terms for the remainder of each User's then-current billing cycle. Any material changes to the Service or pricing following a business transfer will be communicated to you with at least thirty (30) days' notice, and you will have the right to cancel your subscription before such changes take effect.
For clarity, this provision permits the transfer of Stripe billing relationships, including subscription payment tokens, customer identifiers, and billing history, to a successor entity, subject to Stripe's applicable policies and procedures for account transfers or migrations. Such transfers may involve an entity sale (where the legal entity operating the Service is acquired) or an asset sale (where subscriber data is migrated to the acquiring entity's payment processing systems). In either case, the successor entity will be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy with respect to your data.
All obligations and rights under these Terms shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the parties and their respective successors and permitted assigns.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through mediation within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue resolution through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Spokane, WA.

YOU AND RIGHT MONEY AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property rights or to prevent irreparable harm.
17. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription through your account settings and then contacting us to request account deletion. Upon account deletion, we will delete your personal and financial data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to any legal retention obligations.
The following sections shall survive termination of these Terms: Sections 7 (User Data and Privacy), 10 (Disclaimer — Not Financial Advice), 12 (Limitation of Liability), 13 (Disclaimer of Warranties), 14 (Indemnification), 15 (Assignment and Business Transfers), and 16 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution).
18. Service Availability and Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to provide at least thirty (30) days' notice before discontinuing the Service entirely. We shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
We may also, from time to time, update the Service to add or remove features and functionality. Such updates may occur automatically and without notice. Continued use of the Service following any such updates constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
19. Electronic Communications
By creating an account, you consent to receive electronic communications from us, including emails regarding your account, subscription status, billing, service announcements, and legal notices. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
You may opt out of promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email. You may not opt out of transactional emails related to your account, billing, or legal notices while you maintain an active account.
20. Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of such right or provision. A waiver of any right or provision will only be effective if in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Right Money.
21. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other legal notices or policies published by us on the Service, constitute the entire agreement between you and Right Money regarding the Service. These Terms supersede any prior agreements, communications, and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and Right Money with respect to the Service.
